Hello,I am a native English teacher from South Africa. I am currently living in Colombia travelling and teaching English. I have over 5 years teaching experience teaching adults, teenagers, and kids of all levels. I am also currently learning Spanish. I am friendly and patient. I will encourage you to speak lots without pressure. I have spent a lot of time living in non-English speaking countries and therefore I am used to communicating with people who do not speak English as their first language. Many students tell me they are too busy, slow, old or unmotivated to learn English - my teaching style enables me to find solutions to these problems. Firstly, I never follow a strict timetable or curriculum even when it comes to grammar lessons, because I know that all my students learn differently. I teach my lessons to match individual pace and learning style. I instill confidence in my students from day one by giving them many opportunities to practice English, giving my feedback during or after the activity. I ensure that my lessons are always productive by paying careful attention to my learners’ needs. I also make my lessons as fun and lively as possible to keep my students motivated.
