I am an English teacher with a passion for Asian studies and political economy. I fell in love with language teaching and learning in 2012 when I studied at Linguistic University and got my first job teaching in Bulgaria, Varna. After the internship, I fulfilled my dream to learn Chinese as a part of the MA program in Asian studies that eventually led me to a place where I am today - doing a Ph.D. in Taiwan and teaching languages.
I have experience teaching all levels, ages, and backgrounds.
Fluency in conversation, supported by key grammar points, are the goals I seek in my class. I hope to create a positive and comfortable environment so that my students can freely use the language.
Since the lessons are tailored to the goals and needs of my students, we will learn together at a convenient pace and with topics that are specific to the student, but also contribute to the acquisition of a new vocabulary.
My goal as a teacher is to help my students develop their unlimited potential. Children classes are dynamic, visual, fun and respect the child's shorter attention span. I encourage full sentences and work on repetition through easy conversation, games and play.
I've been teaching since 2012. I have worked with students aged 5 to 70 and it is always a pleasure to witness their progress as they start to communicate in a foreign language. I've been teaching in public schools, language schools, after-school programs, as well as a private tutor.
