I am a patient and passionate English teacher who enjoys teaching through discussion based tasks.
I have a PGCE in Secondary Education from the University of Brighton and a 157 hour TEFL certification.
I have a huge amount of professional teaching experience from working within schools.
My courses can be suited for speaking practice for functional English right up to TOEFL exam practice. I can also tailor specific courses to suit any other interests you may have.
Last year I was working as a Secondary School teacher in Brighton, UK. Teaching children aged 11-17, covering KS3, GCSE and also tutoring students 1-to-1 on GCSE subjects after school.
In the past I also used to tutor adults in Fine Art at 'Art Space', a charity organisation set up for adults with mental health difficulties.
From all of these different experiences, I have gained the ability to work confidently with students from the ages of 3 right up to the age of 40.
I am now living in India where I work part-time as a Scuba Diving Instructor, and have also been teaching children from local villages how to speak English.
I am also an artist/sculptor. I cast silver, bronze and resin pieces. I focus mainly on creating pieces of jewellery cast from objects and creatures from the ocean.
I have recently begun a blog where I write articles on humans who have initiated beautiful projects that help the environment and humanity.
In my spare time, I enjoy doing yoga, canoeing, trekking, watching films and exploring new places.

I have a wide range of teaching experience that I feel would make me an ideal candidate for the position. I undertook a 'PGCE' during 2017-2018 in Brighton, England. I taught mathematics in two contrasting secondary schools for a year and gained experience teaching a wide range of students from top set GCSE and A level students to smaller groups of bottom set students with emotional and behavioural difficulties. These different experiences allowed me to broaden my teaching style and adapt my teaching techniques to suit the student's individual nature.
I loved the experience of teaching, however, decided that the structure in UK schools syllabus didn't give me enough freedom and creativity in my teaching to inspire students in the ways I had imagined doing so. I then went on to take a TQUK Level 5 Teaching English course with 20 hours of in-classroom experience with 'The TEFL Academy'. After this, I gained experience both teaching English online and teaching English within 'Temple Adventures', a dive centre I was working for in Pondicherry, India, from 2018-2019. Within the centre, alongside teaching diving courses, I was also teaching 16-18-year-olds to speak and read English in order to pass their diving examinations. During off time, I got involved in projects in local villages teaching children how to speak English.
