Hi there!
My name is Jayson Javier, you can call me Jay for short, I am a teacher, a musician,
an athlete and a very positive person. I never forget to tell myself a quote
a person told me once, which is: “To see the good in every situation”.
Everyday people are faced with challenges and obstacles but one must not be fazed by
this and look at every perspective you can to see the good in these challenges.
Learning English is such a challenge that a lot of people today try to overcome,
but if you think clearly it is never too late to learn, it is never too late to give effort and
be motivated and it is never too late to achieve your goals, that is the good in this situation.
I have taught students from different levels, ages, gender, such as
beginners to intermediate, 4 years old to 50 years old, male and female.
I have helped them work with different English skills such as: grammar, writing, reading,
even for the preparation of their IELTS, TOEFL, job interviews, business and casual English,
even public speaking. I have conducted classes personally in classrooms and even
through online classes using different softwares such as Skype, Zoom, E-classroom, etc.
I am truly honored to be a person that helps other people learn English as a second language, to be able to see
my students achieve their goals daily is such a fulfilling feeling,
that is why I continue being a teacher to be able to convey my feelings as to why it is never too late
to learn English. Although I am a graduate of Educational Psychology,
I followed my dream of being a teacher and have been teaching English for almost 3 years and
in doing so, I have experienced many things such as being patient, kind, helpful and
getting the feeling of a sense of purpose.
Learning English is as difficult as learning any other foreign language,
especially on grammar. That is why I adjust to my students current pace and skills.
I observe my students and try to figure out strengths to fortify and weaknesses to improve on.
It is always a great feeling to see my students develop steadily fast,
to be able to hear stories from them practicing their English skills by following the tips I give them,
and to hear them say thank you teacher for helping me learn more about English again today.
