In my twenties I discovered who I was and in my thirties I gained life experience and understanding in the business world. I started my own business 10 years ago and proved that I am able to handle the professional and personal “highs and lows” of life. I am a native-English speaker with a South-African accent. I am in my final year of my bachelor’s degree in Theology from The Emet Academy of Learning LLC and received my TQUK Level 5 Certificate in teaching English as a foreign language RQF, 168-hour Level 5 from The TEFL Academy in May 2019. I am currently a full-time Au-pair and have 3 years’ experience as an educator teaching English, math and Life skills to students ages 6-10 years. On top of the 10 years retail experience as a business owner of a bakery daily interacting with various people and children, teaching baking skills to adults and children ages 6-45 years by the baking classes I hosted every second Saturday. I am currently caring for 4 children (Ages 5 - 9), the Weitsz and Mullock-Houwer families. I apply the knowledge that I have learned from TEFL into practical use. My charming, motivating and enthusiastic nature together with my interactive personality can in my opinion benefit the School and you. Teaching English as foreign language provides the perfect platform to tutor one-on-one and building the students' confidence through communication, which is key to successful growth, while bringing new life experiences to incorporate into my class lessons. I strive for professionalism and a clutter free work space, while utilizing TPR and interactive and necessary props. This will keep the attention focused, while experiencing a lot of fun.
